‘World’s First’: Asus Reveal ‘Trio’ PC + Tab + Notebook
Forget phablets – this baby is a PC Station, tablet and notebook in one. Meet the world’s first 3 in 1 – Asus Transformer Book Trio – runs both Windows 8 (PC, notebook) and Android Jelly Bean (tablet).
The Asus Trio combines an 11.6 inch Full HD IPS display notebook, (detachable) tablet and works as a desktop PC, has dual Intel (Core i7 + Atom) processors, so handy for work and on the move.
The hybrid PC “transforms mobile flexibility” by switching between an Android tablet, Windows 8 notebook and desktop PC,” say Asus who unveiled a slew of new PC’s at it’s “We Transform” event at Computex 2013 in Taipei, overnight.
The notebook and PC Station are powered by Intel 4th Gen Core processors (up to Core i7), while the 11.6″ Full HD Android tablet (1920 x 10800) runs 2.0 GHz Intel Atom processor, has up to 64GB storage. The Trio also has and dual cameras for HD video chats.
The PC Station has a keyboard, 750GB hard drive, and is a fully fledged desktop PC when hooked up to an external display.

The PC Station also doubles as a charger for the tablet.
No word on pricing but this is bound not to be cheap.
At Computex, kicking off today in Taipei ASUS announced updates to tablets, phablets and Ultrabooks including Zenbooks, Transformer Pads, Memo Pad and Fonepad, all slated for Australian release late 2013.
Chairman Jonney Shih says ASUS wants to “seek to perfect the balance between engineering and humanity, where every intricate detail echoes our needs for both emotion and function,” said ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih.
“This is the ASUS way of Design Thinking, where every idea starts with people and we turn our imagination into myriad revolutionary innovations.”
