Uniden Gain Google Assistant Voice Controls

Uniden has announced its smart security products are now compatible with Google Assistant voice controls.

Customers can instruct their Google Assistant-enabled products to stream security camera footage from their Uniden security cams by saying, “Okay Google, stream the garage on the TV.”

Following a new update, Google Assistant can stream security footage from a Uniden product directly to a smart TV using Chromecast that’s built into the product, or via a Chromecast dongle.

Uniden’s security products are compatible with Google Assistant integrated products such as the Google Home, smart speakers, Chromecast, Android phones, other smartphones including iPhones, and more using a local Wi-Fi network.

“The increasing demand for voice control enabled products is on the rise. Uniden wants to offer consumers the ability to manage their home security cameras using voice control while integrating with other products around the home,” commented Brad Hales, Uniden’s National Marketing and Communications Manager.

The new update provides more flexibility to the consumer, complementing the dedicated Uniden app which allows footage to be accessed and viewed from anywhere in the world.

Google Assistant is currently available on the Uniden App Cam 55, App Cam 56, XLIGHT and GXVR models and will be available with other Uniden security products in coming months.
