Ukranian Hackers Flog Oz Data
Ukranian cyber–criminals have stolen personal and company data from an Australian company and sold it on the Internet for A$22,000.
The breach at H&L Australia occurred at least two months ago but Australia’s cyber–guard, the Computer Emergency Response Term or CERT, only found out about it after UK The Register Web site alerted it to the data theft.
H&L Australia provides point–of–sale systems for Woolworth–owned Australian Leisure and Hospitality, which has more than 300 restaurants and liquor stores. ALH systems are also in many pubs and clubs.
H&L has confirmed the breach but said no company or client financial details were stolen and the breach only affected one server.
