Typhur Unveils A Large & Fast Cooking Airfryer

Airfryers are morphing into sizes that can rival the capacity of a conventional oven, with new air systems that dramatically cut cooking times.

That’s the message from smart kitchen appliance design firm Typhur at the IFA 2023 technology show in Berlin.

The Californian firm announced a large airfryer called the Typhur Dome which it says can feed a family of eight.

“Air fryers have gained immense popularity worldwide for a reason,” says Frank Sun, CEO of Typhur. “The Dome Air Fryer elevates the cooking experience and takes air frying to the next level by allowing users to achieve perfect cooking results faster and more efficiently.”

Typhur says the Dome has a 5.3 litre cooking capacity which is approximately double the size of the average air fryer.

“The Typhur Dome is large enough to cook 32 wings, 2.2lbs of fries, two steaks or 12-inch pizza. It can effortlessly serve 4-8 people, making it perfect for families and gatherings.”

It says the Dome uses a cyclonic circulation system to deliver 30 percent faster cooking times while maintaining optimal temperatures and keeping food moist. Functions include baking, roasting and dehydrating, with the oven supporting temperatures up to 230C. The oven also has a self-cleaning feature and adjustable fan speed.

You can control cooking and self-cleaning and access recipes from an accompanying app.

While its distribution currently is mainly to the US and European markets, Typhur says the cooker will be available soon on Amazon. Nominal price is US$499 (A$774).
