BenQ Reveals Flicker Free Monitor
The VW2235H, which provides Mac users access to its ZeroFlicker technology will go on sale in Australia in the new year. In the USA the monitor is selling for $179.
The 22-inch monitor features an asymmetrical build and minimalist industrial design, in addition to BenQ’s ZeroFlicker technology that eliminates flicker problems that are associated with LED displays.
Enabling its Mac support is BenQ’s proprietary Senseye Human Vision technology that activates when the monitor is operating in its “M-Book” mode. Through these options, BenQ says users can recreate the picture quality MacBooks produce on a larger, wide-aspect ratio screen.
“Our new VW2235H monitor is the market’s first ZeroFlicker display specifically created for today’s design-conscious settings and eco-friendly lifestyles,” boasts Bob Wudeck, associate vice president, strategy and business development at BenQ America Corp. “Building on the success of our award-winning, all-white VW series, the newest version of our Mac-compatible monitors enables users to experience a heightened sense of comfort for longer viewing sessions while enjoying the same performance features that made the original version such a success.”
Other features include BenQ’s Eco-Mode option designed to balance image quality, while reducing energy consumption by as much as 44 percent.
The display’s True-Black Colour feature is engineered to enable the VW2235H to produce deeper blacks and improved contrast ratios. BenQ adds, some of the other user convenience options incorporated into the display include a device holder at the display’s base that allows for the storage of portable devices, including iPhones and iPods, and a choice of inputs such as HDMI and D-sub/DVI.
