Target Recalls Slimline Activity Trackers Over Burn Risk

Target Australia has recalled selected Slimline Activity & Sleep Trackers, after Product Safety Australia (PSA) found they present an electrical burn risk.

The retailer has recalled model IR159S (Black 60398611, Blue 60398635 and Pink 60398628), citing a potential lack of insulation from charging contacts.

PSA claims the the fault may result in electrolytic action on a wearer’s skin, with regular exposure risking skin irritation/burns.

Consumers are advised cease using the product immediately, and return the trackers to any Target store for a full refund.

The Slimline Activity & Sleep Trackers were sold nationally across Target between 1 July 2018 and18 September 2018.

Further information is available on Target Australia’s website here.
