JB Hi Fi Snare More Dick Smith Managers
The move comes after JB Hi Fi last week announced the appointment of Nick Ebbeck into the newly created role of commercial sales manager, Australia and New Zealand.
This week three more senior managers at Dick Smith Commercial have resigned to join JB Hi-Fi Commercial. They include Leigh Mutimer, Tim Rail and Nick Kavvalos who will join Nick Ebbeck at JB Hi-Fi in Sydney.
Before taking on the role at JB Hi-Fi, Ebbeck was commercial sales manager at Dick Smith.
On September 27th Woolworths announced the sale of its Dick Smith electronics to Anchorage Capital for a knock-down $20 million in cash. Anchorage agreed to take on liabilities for all of the leases associated with the retail chain. What is not known is what financial assurances Anchorage Capital has given to Insurance Indemnity Companies after Woolworths relinquished their financial undertakings to the credit risk insurance companies following the sale.
Dick Smith management were not available to comment on the exit of several staff to JB Hi Fi who is set to be targeted by the new Dick Smith management team as they look to grow the Dick Smith operations in Australia.
