Chinese Giant To “Challenge” OZ TV Prices
Hisense new K610 Smart TVs boasts all the bells and whistles of a big name TV but for cheaper.
Features of the new Full High Definition 3D LED LCD TV include built in Web browser, WiFi, Skype, online video entertainment and music, 4 x HDMI inputs to connect devices like a tablet, Blu Ray player or music system, with a super thin bezel (border) and skinny frame. The Chinese TV maker say its new Smart TVs are “challenging ” rivals, which include Samsung and Panasonics’ price points and are “enormous value”. However, HiSense have not announced pricing yet, and a spokesperson said it is up to retailers to confirm pricing when the Smart TVs go on sale later this month. The HiSense Smart TVs will come in 39″, 50″ and 55″ screen sizes and will hit JB H-Fi, The Good Guys, and BSR from mid-April. A 55″ LG 55″ Full HD LED LCD 3D Smart TV costs just under $1500 at JB Hi Fi, while Samsung 50″ Slim Full HD 3D LED-LCD TV costs $1196, so it will be interesting to see what HiSense pricing is like, but we should know more in the coming days. HiSense currently sells a 55″ Full HD LED LCD set for around $900. The 50″ and 55″ have 100Hz refresh rate meaning less blur and better motion clarity and mobile High Def link (MHL) is integrated in all HiSense’ mid and premium TV’s, allowing users to mirror content from their phone onto a TV. “Our goal is to provide every home with a feature-packed television that is perfect for the whole family to enjoy not only as a traditional television, but as a media hub enabling access to additional content,” said Andre Iannuzzi, head of Marketing, Hisense Australia. “The K610 provides all of the techno-forward features that consumers are looking for while remaining incredibly user friendly.” For more information about Hisense’s visit www.hisense.com.au. |
