Danish audio brand SOUNDBOKS has unveiled its latest portable speaker, the Soundboks Mix, bringing festival-level volume into a more everyday-friendly form factor.

Designed for outdoor use and large gatherings, the Bluetooth speaker delivers a claimed peak output of 121 decibels, which is well beyond typical consumer speakers and firmly in “event-grade” territory.

While that level of volume isn’t designed for prolonged listening, it highlights the company’s focus on power without sacrificing portability.

Priced at $799 (around A$1,200), the Soundboks Mix pairs dual 72W Class D amplifiers with a 10-inch woofer and tweeter, aiming to maintain audio clarity even at higher volumes.

It also supports SKAA wireless connectivity, allowing users to link up to five compatible speakers for synchronised playback.

Battery life is a standout feature, with up to 40 hours of playback at moderate levels and around eight hours at maximum output. The removable battery system allows users to swap packs on the go.

Built with durability in mind, the speaker features an impact-resistant enclosure, rubberised corners and IP65-rated protection against dust and water. A companion mobile app offers EQ controls and sound profiles for different environments.
