Soniq 4K TV Amazon Prime Day #1 Best Seller
Amazon Australia claims Prime Day 2019 generated its highest order numbers yet – with a Soniq 4K Ultra HD TV its #1 best-seller in the TV category.
The e-commerce giant claims there was strong demand for “big ticket” items (e.g. Bose noise cancelling headphones) plus smart home essentials (e.g. Philips Hue Smart Bulbs).
The news comes after Soniq was dumped from JB Hi-Fi, with management reportedly pursuing a direct response marketing program
Prime Day 2019 is thus far Amazon.com.au’s biggest shopping event (when comparing two-day periods), attracting a record number of Prime member shoppers.
Three Nintendo Switch games appeared in the top-selling list (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey), with the PlayStation classic among the top selling items on the Global Store.
The best selling Amazon devices in Australia were the Echo Dot, Kindle Paperwhite and Fire TV Stick Basic Edition.
Australian Prime members were the first in the world to access Prime Day deals, with “thousands more deals” still available via the Amazon.com.au Global Store until 5pm AEST on July 17.
In an unprecedented move, Aussies will gain access to the longest Prime Day in the world with a whopping 65 hours.
“We were delighted to see Prime members in Australia getting the most out of our epic deals, making Prime Day the biggest shopping event in Amazon.com.au’s history,” remarks Amazon Australia Country Manager, Rocco Braeuniger.
