SodaStream Shows Its Bubbly Side

Sparkling water giants SodaStream has released a holiday treat for those over 18, an alcoholic concentrate Sparkling Gold to be added to soda water creating a sparkling wine.

However, there is a catch: it is only available for German residents online.

The alcoholic concentrate resembles the taste of a fruity Riesling wine. The concentrate comes in a 200ml gold tinted glass bottle.

After creating a myriad of beverages such as ginger beer and flavoured waters it was only a matter of time before SodaStream stepped into the alcoholic beverage scene.

Daniel Birnbaum, CEO at SodaStream says, “SodaStream is changing the way people drink. Millions of people around the globe enjoy using SodaStream to transform their ordinary tap water into fresh sparkling water at the touch of a button. The fun and exciting concentrates give more users the opportunity to enjoy and even indulge in festive beverages this holiday season.”

While this product is a limited Christmas edition for the Germany online shop, it is unclear if will be shipped out globally for the next silly season or even next year.
