SMEG has launched its new Diamond dishwasher range in Australia, targeting households that regularly entertain and want more flexibility for items such as wine glasses, decanters, baking trays and larger cookware.

The Diamond Premium range is available nationally from November 1, 2026, with two built-under models priced at $2,590 and a fully integrated model at $2,690. Diamond Luxury models are due to follow in 2027.

Rather than focusing only on standard plate and cutlery capacity, the new models include a range of integrated supports designed for more awkward or delicate items.

MultiLoad supports can hold baking trays upright or at an angle, while also securing deeper bowls, pots and pans during a cycle.

A dedicated WinePro Holder is designed to separate wine glasses and reduce contact during washing, with capacity for up to 11 champagne flutes in a single load.

The ProFlex Holder is aimed at taller bottles and decanters, including additional support around the heavier base of a decanter.

The FlexiDuo cutlery tray is split into two independently adjustable sections, allowing each half to be raised, lowered or removed to create extra space for taller items below.

SMEG has also included its patented Planetary Washing System, which uses a spray arm rotating on two axes to improve water coverage throughout the dishwasher.

Dry Assist+ automatically opens the door at the end of the cycle to help improve drying performance, including on glassware.

A Silent Programme is also included for households wanting to run the dishwasher while entertaining or during quieter periods.

Inside, the new models introduce Sage Leaf Green baskets, giving the interior a softer green finish compared with the more conventional grey or stainless-steel appearance used in many dishwashers.

Externally, the range is available in built-under and fully integrated configurations. The fully integrated model is designed to sit behind a matching cabinetry panel for a more seamless kitchen installation.

The Diamond dishwashers are designed and manufactured in Italy and come with a five-year warranty.

The new range is available through selected Australian retailers and SMEG’s local website, adding another premium dishwasher option to the brand’s kitchen appliance portfolio ahead of the summer entertaining period.
