Shure To Buy Ab Wavemark Oy
Audio manufacturer Shure said it will acquire Ab Wavemark Oy to support cutting-edge and customer-centric software solutions for broadcast, theatre, and content creators.
“The acquisition of Ab Wavemark Oy will further underscore Shure’s commitment to providing our professional audio customers with innovative solutions that enhance workflow,” said Shure Senior Director of Wireless Category Nick Wood.
With the acquisition, Shure aims to reinforce investing in software and should grant audio technicians more access to various new innovative tools, which will be included within applications in Shure’s portfolio like Wireless Workbench (WWB) 7.
Both WAVETOOL and WWB deliver thorough ways to supervise RF and monitor all audio sources throughout a production because they employ a custom-built algorithm that automatically alerts of faulty sound sources, allowing technicians to fix issuers quickly as they arise.
WAVETOOL can be used for Broadway plays, along with top-tier live sound, reality TV, and sporting events, and more importantly, it is compatible with many Shure systems, like Axient Digital, ULX-D, SLX-D, Axient Analog, and UHF-R.
Within the WAVETOOL mobile app, audio engineers have a variety of ways to move easily around the stage while streaming audio directly to their iOS devices, and there is a chat functionality for the staff.
The merger of Ab Wavemark Oy with Shure will allow for further diversification of their solutions for the professional audio market.
