Sennheiser are set to make serious sound waves this year, with the news of an exciting addition to their Ambeo soundbar family.
This is going to be a cheaper, smaller Ambeo Dolby Atmos, rather than just an Ambeo successor or sequel, with the company explaining the plan is to offer customers “a similar experience” within “norma price ranges in the competition”, which should cause concerns in the Sonos camp around their Beam Gen 2.
Before that, though, will come Sennheiser’s next premium true wireless earbuds, the Momentum True Wireless 3, due in April.
The German company say we should expect “remarkable sound, advanced ANC and a new innovative design”.
Sennheiser also have their new IE 600 in-ear monitors, made from 3D-printed amorphous zirconium, which is a metal with a glass-like atomic structure.
Sennheiser claim NASA has used this metal on Mars rovers, and that it offers “triple the hardness and bend resistance of high-performance steel”.
Inside this casing, you’ll find Sennheiser’s TrueResponse transducer, a single 7mm driver which is touted to provide virtually distortion-free sound reproduction and extra-wide frequency range.
They also use gold-plated MMCX connectors recessed in the housing for greater guidance and stability. Plus, you will be able to choose between two different ear tip types – silicone and memory foam. Both are provided in three sizes for better fit, combined with the flexible, adjustable earhooks.
