SanDisk has launched its new 512GB microSD Express card, featuring SSD-level speeds in a compact format with impressive performance and durability features.

Utilising PCIe 3.1 NVMe technology, the microSD Express delivers read speeds up to 880MB/s and write speeds up to 650MB/s, rivaling many portable SSDs.

The sustained write speeds of 210MB/s ensure smooth handling of demanding tasks like 5.3K and 4K video recording, high-res RAW photography, and slow-motion footage.

Backward compatible with microSD UHS-I devices, the card supports a broad range of gadgets including Android smartphones, drones, action cameras, laptops, and notably, the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

The microSD card is resistant to water, extreme temperatures, shocks, magnetic interference, X-rays and abrasion. SanDisk’s ThermAdapt technology manages heat effectively during intensive use to maintain performance.

Paired with SanDisk’s Pro-Reader SD Express dual-slot card reader, transfer speeds are drastically reduced – up to 2.8 minutes faster for a 60-minute 4K30 video and less than 3.5 seconds for a two-hour HD movie.

The card includes a lifetime limited warranty and a two-year RescuePro Deluxe data recovery subscription.
