Samsung To Reveal New 8K & 4K Projectors At CES 2024

Samsung will unveil its lineup of Premiere UST Projectors at CES 2024, including both 8K and 4K.

Previewed at CES 2023 but never released was the Premiere 8K projector. This year, it will not only be shown, but will make its way to public availability sometime.

It projects an 8K resolution image via pixel shifting, using a native 4K resolution DLP chip. The pixels on the chip need to be shifted 4x at 240Hz to acquire the 8K display resolution.

It can also project an image up to 150-inches from 12-inches away, and a new Wireless One Connect Box transmits the content to projector within 10 meters. Able to be places anywhere, it can also blend into a room featuring a lens cap and metal, wood, and rounded corner finishes.

Additionally, it has a built in 100W 8.2.2 channel audio system, complete with Dolby Atmos and Sound-on-Screen technology. This feature elevates audio to feel as if it comes from the screen and not projector.

It also uses an AI upscaling engine which can transform 4K to 8K, and has 4,000 lumens auto brightness, as well as triple laser light.

It includes auto keystone, auto focus, screen scale, and side lever height adjustment, along with Smart Features built in. It can used as a smart speaker as well.

Moving on to the Premiere 5, which is a new lifestyle projector, which delivers detailed, bright images at 4K resolution via pixel shifting, and is easy to setup with auto focus and alignment for the display and touch screen feature. It can also be used as a smart speaker.

When placed 17-inches from a wall, it can display up to a 100-inch image, and automatically adjust focus, keystone, and colour balance.

There’s a single multi-function key which also the user to seamlessly switch modes, which include Ambient Mode, mobile connection, and a screen off feature, which keeps the audio on.

The Premiere 5 can also mirror a smartphone display by tapping the phone on the top of the device. It can mirror input and output functions of a wirelessly connected smartphone.

It is the world’s most compact triple laser UST projector and touch interaction device, able to connect to multiple devices and easy to move. It can also be used as a second monitor.

It includes a tabletop accessory stand, allowing it to project onto a desk or table, and turn the display into a touch sensitive projector.

Also, it can be used as an entertainment media projector or a touchscreen display for interactive videos and apps.

Samsung will also introduce replacements for their current LSP7T and LSP9T projectors, the Premiere 7 and Premiere 9.

They will be brighter, with a Quantum 4K processor, and Dolby Atmos, complete with three new features, Light Warp, Gaming Hub, and Smart Speaker.

Light Warp turns any object in the room into an interactive display surface. Gaming Hub will provide access to thousands of games with no console needed, and all projectors can be used as a smart speaker as well.
