Samsung Intro’s New 8K & MicroLED TV Technology At CES, It’s Impressive

If demonstrations are anything to go by Samsung’s new 2018 TV technology is going to be hard to beat, it includes new MicroLED and new 8K TV technology that delivers crystal clear images that some analysts are tipping with give the edge back to the Korean company in the TV market.

At CES 2018 tonight the big Korean TV Company vealed their new 8K TV platform that upscales content to 8K and it’s impressive.

A new 85-inch Q9S QLED TV will be Samsung’s first commercial 8K television. Using proprietary technology and a unique algorithm Samsung can now upscale content to 7680 x 4320 resolution.

They have also introduced new MicroLED TV technology that seriously challenges OLED and brands such as Hisense that are still peddling bottom end 4K LED TV technology in an environment that is now all about cutting edge TV technology.

At an exclusive event in Las Vegas ahead of their main press conference Samsung has also revealed “The Wall” – the world’s first consumer modular MicroLED 146-inch TV.

The modular, self-emitting MicroLED 146” TV is the largest TV in the World.

Samsung’s new 8K AI technology, which will be launched internationally, starting with Korea and the US during the second half of 2018 is not expected in Australia until the last quart or 2018 and even then it could be a 2019 product.

At tonight’s event Samsung also showcased 2018 Samsung Smart TV’s enhanced connection and convenience functions at their First Look event, including Bixby, SmartThings and Universal Guide.

Samsung TV’s with Bixby which is an intelligent assistant platform enables easier interaction between the TV and its users, due to its intuitive UX, and comprehensive voice analysis capabilities.

2018 Samsung Smart TVs will also offer easier sharing and connectivity, via Samsung’s IoT platform hub.

First Look also highlighted a variety of product zones, showcasing 8K-AI technology, 4K HDR Gaming, HDR10+, Smart TV experience and more. These areas gave guests at First Look 2018 the chance to get hands-on Samsung’s most exciting innovations in TV.
