D-Link Unveils New 10G Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Router
D-Link A/NZ has launched a new high-performance Wi-Fi 7 mesh router designed for Australian and New Zealand households adopting faster broadband services, including NBN 1Gbps and 2Gbps plans, and New Zealand’s UFB Hyperfibre connections.
The new D-Link 10G Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Router is aimed at ensuring home networking equipment keeps up as broadband speeds increase.
D-Link A/NZ managing director Graeme Reardon said the bottleneck has shifted from the broadband connection itself to the networking equipment inside the home.
“With NBN now scaling to 2 Gbps and NZ homes already past that on Hyperfibre, the bottleneck has moved to the router on the shelf,” he said. “The DPN-BE7212GR is built to remove it: 10 Gigabit in, 10 Gigabit out and Wi-Fi 7 that grows with the home, room by room.”

The router features dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, including a 10Gbps WAN port for high-speed broadband connections and a dedicated 10Gbps LAN port for internal networking. This allows users to connect high-performance devices such as 10G NAS storage systems, gaming PCs, workstations and media servers at multi-gigabit speeds.
Wireless performance is powered by Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), delivering combined speeds up to 7200Mbps through technologies including 4×4 MU-MIMO, OFDMA, 4K QAM modulation and Multi-Link Operation.

D-Link says these features are designed to improve capacity, reduce latency and maintain performance across busy home networks.
The DPN-BE7212GR is also designed to scale across larger homes through EasyMesh support, allowing multiple units to work together under a single network name. For users wanting maximum performance, multiple units can be connected using a wired 10 Gigabit Ethernet backhaul to create a full 10G backbone between rooms.
Additional features include WPA3 security, guest networking, parental controls, automatic firmware updates and management through the D-Link Wi-Fi Assist app for iOS and Android.
The router also includes Smart VPN functionality, which allows devices on the home network to connect to VPN services securely and without requiring separate software installations on each separate device.
For internet service providers and telcos, the DPN-BE7212GR supports TR-069 and TR-181 management standards, enabling remote provisioning, diagnostics and firmware management for large-scale deployments.
The D-Link DPN-BE7212GR BE7200 10G Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Router is available now in Australia, priced at $449.95.
