Samsung will add its optical image stabilisation (OIS) feature to its Galaxy A phones, regardless of pricing.
OIS stops motion blurring when taking a photo, with a gyro sensor adjusting the lens angle slightly to counteract any movement.
The OIS technology was originally only available in the cameras on its Galaxy S and Note phones; earlier this year it began to add the feature to the more expensive Galaxy A models, with the A72, A52, and the A22 cameras all sporting OIS.
Starting next year, it will include OIS in all models, including the successors to the A42, and A32.
The reasoning behind this shift is to compete with the likes of Xiaomi, who are introducing high-end technology in their low-tier models, and the forthcoming iPhone SE 5G phone.
