According to Panasonic, IPL Communications will become the exclusive distributor for Panasonic IP telephony products from December 1, 2009. As part of the arrangement, IPL Communications will be providing dedicated ‘Panasonic Centres of Excellence’ for dealers based in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, dealer technical assistance and training, and access to a comprehensive range of third-party products. IPL Communications’ CEO, Stead Denton said the agreement provided significant opportunities for the IT and voice channel. “We have been intent on providing new products for our channel partners to give them bigger markets to address. Now we have the entire range of Panasonic IP telephony products and an enormous amount of energy is going into addressing this opportunity. We are unique in our model as we don’t compete with time and place distributors. We are very much a value-added distributor; we can help the channel sell more complex, application-based IP systems that drive meaningful business improvements for their customers.” |
