REVIEW: Motorola Edge 60 Pro – Stylish Intelligence for Power Users
Launched alongside the reborn flip-style Motorola Razr 60, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro enters the Australian market as a premium device with an intelligent twist.
With moto ai on board, a stunning quad-curved pOLED display and a marathon battery, Motorola’s latest flagship is designed for those who want performance without compromising on design.
The Edge 60 Pro is one of the most tactile phones I’ve ever handled.
The soft-touch back (ours came in Pantone Shadow) offers a velvety grip that makes the device feel premium and incredibly secure in your hand.
Also available in Dazzling Blue and Sparkling Grape, the phone hits the ergonomic sweet spot at just 186g and 8.2mm thin.
The design might not be for everyone – especially those who are used to a solid metal feel – but it’s a phone you simply don’t want to put in a case.

Despite its elegant lines, Motorola has not skimped on durability.
The phone is IP68/IP69 rated and MIL-STD-810H compliant, meaning it’ll survive a swim or a drop better than most style-first handsets.
The 6.7-inch Super HD pOLED screen is Motorola’s brightest ever, with a peak brightness of 4500 nits – and it shows.
From HDR10+ video streaming to simple Instagram scrolling, this panel is silky smooth at 120Hz and ultra-vibrant without feeling oversaturated. Whether indoors or under sunlight, visibility is never an issue.

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, makes this device snappy in all the right ways. Gaming, multitasking and video editing all perform without lag.
Motorola’s moto ai makes a solid debut here.
Features like Next Move, which suggests actions based on screen content, and an auto-curated music tool, Playlist Studio, show real potential.
While the AI isn’t groundbreaking yet, it’s smart enough to be helpful and stays out of your way when you don’t need it.
The Edge 60 Pro has serious photography credentials with a triple camera array powered by a Sony LYTIA sensor, including a 50MP main, 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom, and 50MP ultrawide.
Motorola’s Pantone Validated Colour and Skin Tone tech delivers accurate, vibrant imagery across lighting conditions.
The 50MP selfie camera impresses too, particularly for content creators. Video capture at 4K on both front and rear cameras, plus HDR10+ and gyro-EIS support, round out a very capable imaging setup.

Here’s where Motorola really sets itself apart – a massive 6000mAh battery paired with 90W TurboPower charging.
Motorola claims 45 hours of battery, and in real-world use you can easily make it through two days on a single charge. A six-minute top-up gets you roughly a day’s worth of power which is a true lifesaver.
Wireless charging (15W) and reverse wired charging (5W) are also on board – not groundbreaking, but appreciated at this price point.
Verdict
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro combines genuinely useful AI features, a head-turning design and best-in-class battery performance, making it one of the most well-rounded phones in its category.
While it lacks a few flagship bells and whistles (like a periscope zoom or LTPO display), it nails the fundamentals very well.
At $1,199, it’s a compelling choice for users seeking style, smarts and stamina in a sleek package.
