Opera House, Sennheiser Strike Sound Deal
Under the deal, Sennheiser and Neumann will supply their professional-grade microphones to the Opera House over the next two years.
“Sydney Opera House has used Sennheiser and Neumann microphones since opening its doors in 1973, and is thrilled that both companies are now official corporate partners. Using their microphones is a unique opportunity for us to be aligned with the best in the industry,” said Sydney Opera House Technical Director, David Claringbold.
Products supplied will include microphones from the MKH RF condenser series as well as the top-of-the-range 3000 and 5000 Series systems.
“We are excited about the new partnership, and I think it’s a partnership in excellence, with the meeting of this world-class concert venue and our world-class audio products,” said Sennheiser President of Global Marketing, Susanne Seidel.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to officially provide Sydney Opera House and its artists with our products. It is good to hear that many performers who come to the Opera House request our products, because they are familiar with them and use them all around the world,” said Neumann President of Marketing and Sales, Wolfgang Fraissenet.
Sennheiser and Neumann products are distributed in Australia by Syntec Australia, which has been in partnership with these brands for over 20 years.
