CES 2022: New Targus Backpack Findable By iPhones

Targus has showcased a range of new accessories at CES 2022, including a backpack with built-in Apple Find My functionality, enabling it to be located via iPhone.

The Cypress Hero Backpack with Apple Find My Technology, which has been honoured in the CES 2022 Innovation Awards, has a built-in location tracker allowing owners to find it via Apple’s network should it go missing; the functionality also works both ways, with a button allowing it to ping a user’s missing iPhone. It is powered by a replaceable battery that is also rechargeable via USB, and is constructed from recycled water bottles.

Targus is also exhibiting a range of hybrid and remote work solutions including its DOCK720 USB-C Hybrid/Universal 4K Quad Dock, which comes with a built-in fingerprint reader for added security, a Docking Monitor which adds a 24″ LED display to a USB-C docking station, and a range of antimicrobial backpacks and other bags.

Andrew Corkill, vice president of global marketing & eCommerce, Targus, says the new products spring from the needs of a changed workforce due to the pandemic.

“As we reimagine what the next normal will be and what the future looks like, we are proud to continually bring purposeful technology solutions to the market that address productivity, sustainability, and health and wellness initiatives to enable a seamless life.”

Targus is distributed in Australia by Dicker Data.
