 Just announced, Lenovo’s first consumer Chromebooks, the 11.6″ N20 and touchscreen N20p Chromebooks start at US$279. No local pricing or availability info yet.
The N20p Chromebook keyboard flexes 300 degrees backward to convert from Laptop to Stand mode, flagged as a new way to watch videos up close, browse the web and game via the touchscreen.
Meanwhile, the N20 clamshell design has a more familiar laptop feel and doesn’t have the touchscreen.
Both Chromebooks are powered by Intel’s Celeron processor with integrated graphics, has eight hour battery life, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, up to 16 GB internal and 100 GB of free cloud storage on Google Drive.
They’re easy to carry weighing less than 1.4 kg.
Chromebooks boot within seconds, and are good for simple tasks like web browsing, working offline with Gmail and Google Docs.

Update: Lenovo Oz told CN there are “no immediate plans” for launch of the new Chomebooks at this stage.
