Pitney Bowes Opens Global Site For Aussie Shoppers
IT commerce company Pitney Bowes claims its new Borderfree.com site, will make it easier for Aussies to do online shopping at overseas sites. The service promises to link iconic retailers in the US, the UK and Australia.
The newly launched Web site allows cross-border shoppers in countries and territories around the world to shop from online retailers using the Borderfree platform, claimed to feature a fast and secure checkout.
The site offers free account sign-up and the facility to make purchases in Australian dollars, with prices guaranteed at time of payment.
Pitney Bowes says its Global Online Shopping Study found that 86 percent of Australians have shopped cross-border in the last year and that over the recent US Black Friday, Australia was ranked No. 3 in orders, among some 135 countries and territories.
