Philips is bringing a pair of new 3.1 channel soundbars to Australian customers this October, promising to add clarity to their virtual surround sound setup and enable a better cinematic experience.

The first soundbar on offer, the Philips HTL3169B comes priced at $399.95 and will offer a built-in Dolby Digitial decoder and Dolby Pro Logic II – enabling from up to five channels of sound processing from any stereo source.

Meanwhile, the Philips HTL5160B, arriving at an RRP of $699.95 features a wireless 8” sub-woofer with 200W RMS and support for Google Cast and Spotify Connect.

Both soundbars include a dedicated centre speaker offering improved voice positioning and integration with the Philips Companion App.
