Philips Launch New Flagship True Wireless Headphones

Philips has launched it’s latest flagship pair of true wireless headphones – the Fidelio X3.

Originally revealed at IFA 2019, the Fidelio X3 over-ear headphones are the next stage in the open-backed series of headphones by Philips, set to go on sale next week for €349.

The Fidelio X3 headphones will find its way to Australia in the second half of this year, at an expected retail price of around A$400.

Built upon three pillars – sound, design and enhanced user experience – the Fidelio X3 features a set of gel-filled 50mm, multi-layered polymer drivers, with the gel providing additional audio dampening.

The Danish Kvadrat fabric used in the design makes the X3’s acoustically transparent by easing the air pressure build-up, minimising unwanted resonance and feedback.

Sporting responsibly sourced black Muirhead leather and a lightweight, dark satin steel frame, the X3’s are sure to meet high-end design requirements.

Each of the ear shells has been double layered with an internal ridge, again to reduce vibration, with the speaker plates themselves, titled at 15 degrees for a better fit.

Compatible with lossless audio formats and a frequency response range of 5hz to 40Khz.

Plus for the true audiophile, the Philips Fidelio X3’s come with an MMCX locking connector for use in balanced mode, which will help remove ambient noise and deliver better audio performance.
