The current software (version 3.2) comes with a crossfading function that creates smooth transitions between songs. When this function is turned on, the volume at the end of the first song fades out as the volume of the next song fades in. A user can also select the crossfading playback mode from the Now Playing screen for any tracks in your music library, plus select music services including Last.fm, Napster and Deezer.

Sonos has also included an S5 Stereo Pair setting that allows an owner to group two S5s in the same room so one S5 serves as the left channel and the other as the right channel.

In addition, there will be two more languages found on Sonos controllers: Japanese and Simplified Chinese. This means that Sonos now comes in nine languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Swedish.

Finally, a new alarm settings is also included that allows a user to customize alarms for different days of the week.

The Sonos Controller for iPhone 3.2 has been submitted to Apple for approval.
