Oz BPM Spending To Hit $83mil.

Spending by Australian organisations on business process management software will reach A$82.9 million in 2016, up 2.5 percent over last year, according to a new Gartner survey.

In New Zealand, organisations are expected to spend NZ$6.9 million, up 5.5 percent.

The figures were released at Gartner’s Business Transformation and Process Management Summit in Sydney yesterday by research director Rob Dunie who said digital transformation is continuing to drive interest in BPM platforms.

“Becoming a digital business is not about taking what you are doing now and digitising it – such as turning paper forms into e-forms. It is generating a new business model,” Dunie said. “Some of the more advanced BPM platforms allow you to discover entirely new ways of doing things, – however not all organisations are ready for them.”
