OVO Increases Data Allowances For All Customers

Today OVO Mobile has announced an increase in their data limits across their entire range at no extra cost to new and existing customers as well as introducing a new device aimed at “tweens and teens”.

The is the second time in six months that OVO is upping its data allowances which customers can avail of through the OVO website before the end of January 2019.

They are also introducing a new MiniPlus plan for the younger market, which includes a free subscription to FamilyZone cybersafety features (worth $59.40 pa).

MiniPlus doubles the data allowance to 2GB per month with unlimited calls and texts for $14.95 per 30 days.

This data increase comes after a study from Deloitte revealed that 43% of Australians are often exceeding their mobile data limits, causing an additional $313 million being spent each year. ABS stats also suggest this could increase to nearly 50% data used year-over-year.

“It’s times like this when it’s very easy to see why prepaid mobile phone plans are the smart option in this country, particularly when the provider regularly delivers no-cost data package increases, said OVO founder and CEO Matt Jones.

OVO is also offering OVO Time – ‘data-free viewing of the tens of thousands of hours of unique content on OVOPlay including rugby, esports, soccer, drag racing, gymnastics, water polo, badminton and a variety of other entertainment’ in addition to streaming radio from Triple M and HIT FM stations.

New customers can sign up to OVO’s range of prepaid mobile plans and take advantage of this deal ovo.com.au, 7-Eleven and selected Australia Post stores.
