Finding the right person takes time, it seems. After being leader-less, officially at least, since June, Oracle Australia yesterday revealed it as has now hired former Citrix exec Rob Willis, pictured, as its new managing director. Willis fills the gap left by the departure of Tim Ebbeck back in June. Ebbeck, a former NBN Co and SAP exec, resigned in June after nearly three years heading Oracle’s A/NZ operations.
Reason for the long delay in filling the vacant CEO’s chair has so far not been explained. But then it never explained the reason for Ebbeck’s departure either: successful as it undoubtedly is, Oracle Oz has never been regarded as a particularly communicative company.
Since leaving Oracle, Ebbeck has reportedly taken up a role as a reviewer with Infrastructure NSW, in addition to serving on a number of board and trustee roles.
