Nougat Comes To Moto X Force

Owners of Motorola’s Moto X Force are now able to make the jump to Android Nougat.

Reports out of Ausdroid indicate that Moto X Force owners are able to upgrade to Nougat (over Wi-Fi) via the manual update function in the settings menu.

The upgrade patch, approximately 900mb in size, brings the Moto X Force in line both from a software perspective (adding new features like multi-lock language settings, multi-window view and quick switch between apps) and a security one (patching in protection against vulnerabilities discovered prior to April 2017).

Motorola began rolling out Android 7.0 “Nougat” to its devices back in January with the Moto Z, Moto Z Play and Moto G Plus.

As of this month, the latest iteration of Google’s mobile OS now accounts for almost 10% of total Android devices.
