Moto Begins Android Nougat Rollout

Motorola have announced that some of the company’s latest smartphones will soon be receiving an update to the latest Android OS.

Android 7.0 Nougat will be available this week on the Moto Z, Moto Z Play and Moto G Plus (4th gen). Users of these smartphones will receive a notification to update, or can manually download the update through the settings menu.

Motorola have highlighted some of the new features of Nougat, including “72 new emojis, multi-lock language settings, multi-window view and quick switch between apps.”

VR mode will also be available through smartphones compatible with Google’s Daydream platform, including the Moto Z.

The Moto X Force, Moto X Play and Moto X Style are also set to receive the Nougat update at a later date. More information can be found on the Moto software upgrades page.
