MSI Takes On Apple With New Desktop For Creatives
Taiwanese PC manufacturer MSI has continued to spearhead the global Creator PC market, taking on the likes of Apple with its new P100 desktop computer range.
As previously reported, Creator PCs are tipped to rebound global PC sales, following projected slump in gaming PCs after over seven years of booming sales.
Powered by the latest 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900k processor and backed by the new Prestige PS341WU Monitor (unveiled at CES in January), the new snow-white desktop claims to be an adaptable and flexible system for the modern-day content creator.
Whilst Australian pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed, the PS341WU monitor and the P100 desktop will release internationally in October this year.
The desktop integrates the CPU, GPU and PSU to allow for independent airflows to ensure the system can handle anything from 8K video rendering, to significant 3D graphic designing with real-time previewing, while also reducing overheating.
Plus with 64GB of DDR4 memory combined an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti GPU, the Prestige P100 desktop will bring ‘creations to life’ on the award-winning 34-inch Prestige PS341WU monitor.
The 5K (5120×2160) ultra-wide resolution display covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and 98% DCI-P3 standard, providing true colours and more accurate hues. MSI promises a 33% larger work area allowing for greater multitasking for busy creatives, meaning more timelines for video editors and more windows for designers.
The monitor features two HDMI 2.0 ports, a single DisplayPort, four USB 3 Type-A ports and a single USB C port.
A recipient of three CES 2019 Innovation Awards and the 2019 COMPUTEX d&l Award, the PS341WU comes with a VESA certified DisplayHDR 600 and Nano-IPS technology for even higher colour accuracy. Not to mention the added ability to work with a 4K full-size window, the screen adaptability makes creating content not only more accurate but more efficient.
With efficiency in mind, MSI has introduced the world’s first customisable and synchronisable creator ecosystem. Through the exclusive MSI Creator Center and Creator OSED software, designers of all creeds can personalise and adjust their system to fit their work style.
The Creator Center allows the user to control the allocation and optimisation of hardware resources with added synchronisation from the MSI Creator OSD software with the Prestige PS341WU monitor. Working in the background to ensure maximised graphics, the software links the visual output to whatever application is in use — allowing for better calibration between design processes.
