IFA 2019: ‘Creator PCs’ New Growth Driver

Next-generation ‘creator PCs’ are tipped to steal the spotlight at IFA 2019, with models on show from the likes of MSI, Acer, ASUS, HP and Lenovo.

Designed especially for content creators/creative professionals, Creator PCs are tipped to emerge a new growth driver for brands, following a slowdown in gaming PC sales after seven years of booming sales.

According to Taiwanese trade publication, DigiTimes, sources claim Intel will also highlight series processor platforms specifically made for creator PCs.

Intel has reportedly been promoting its Creator PC design series since early 2019, better catering to music and graphic design, film production, photo management, Twitch and YouTube support plus more.

Global shipments for gaming PCs are tipped to notch only single-digit annual growth in 2020 – down from a notable 20%+ in earlier years.

The global Creator PC market has thus far been driven by MSI, who launched its range in 2018, before receiving dedicated Intel processor platforms this year.

MSI is also tipped to showcase new Creator PCs at IFA 2019.

Rivals such a Acer and ASUS are rumoured to launch competitor products in the second half of this year, with uncertainty over whom will emerge the sub-market leader in 2020.
