Motorola has revealed a new variant of the Edge 70 that arrives dressed in Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2026, giving customers an early preview of the shade that will headline the design world next year.

The company has selected Cloud Dancer, known within Pantone’s system as PANTONE 11-4201, as the signature finish for this edition. It is a soft white tone that Pantone describes as peaceful and airy, with a focus on clarity rather than strong saturation.

To give the handset a more jewellery-inspired appearance, Motorola has incorporated crystals supplied by Swarovski into the back panel. This creates a shimmering surface that complements the light and understated Cloud Dancer colour.

This release forms part of Motorola’s ongoing collaboration with Pantone, a partnership that sees chosen devices presented in officially certified shades. For 2026, the design team has aimed for a gentler and more reflective aesthetic. Motorola’s head of design, Ruben Castano, explains that the intention was to use simplicity as a way to promote a calmer and more mindful experience.

Pantone’s Leatrice Eiseman supports that theme, noting that Cloud Dancer has been selected for its ability to provide a quiet visual break in an increasingly loud environment.

Beneath the updated styling, the special edition retains the hardware of the standard Edge 70. Motorola highlights its slim profile, a 50 megapixel camera system, next generation battery features, and moto ai tools that adjust to each owner’s daily habits.

The rear casing uses a soft touch material with a quilted effect, which sets off the sparkle of the Swarovski crystals while maintaining the restrained look of the Cloud Dancer shade.

Motorola has confirmed that this special edition Edge 70 will be released in selected regions around the world, with local availability and pricing to be announced later. Those considering the device may also want to compare it with other models in the brand’s current range.
