Apple has announced its App Store Awards for 2025, selecting a group of standout games and apps that the company believes pushed boundaries in both craft and influence. Titles such as Pokémon TCG Pocket, Dredge, Cyberpunk 2077, Porta Nubi, and What The Clash? were among those recognised.

According to Apple, the chosen winners were identified for their technical creativity, strong user experiences, and the cultural footprint they left over the course of the year. Editors reviewed a long list of forty five potential candidates before settling on the final group.

Tim Cook, Apple’s chief executive, stated that the awards highlight how developers continue to bring original and meaningful ideas to the platform. He added that the recipients illustrate the way top quality digital experiences can enrich people’s daily lives.

Apple also recognised Art of Fauna, Despelote, and Chants of Sennaar with Cultural Impact awards for their artistic merit and distinctive perspectives.

Google revealed its own annual Best Of selections around the same time. Pokémon TCG Pocket, Candy Crush Solitaire, Disco Elysium, and Dredge were all acknowledged in Google’s 2025 list, showing strong alignment between the two major platforms.
