Mark Warburton Appointed Samsung Australia Director Of Audio Visual

Samsung Australia has appointed Mark Warburton as its director of audio visual, with the appointment effective August 29.

Warburton brings experience in sales, marketing and business development within Australia, New Zealand and Asia to the role, having worked in sectors including video games, online entertainment, FMCG and pharmaceuticals.

Warburton was recently consulting to clients including Fox Sports and Blizzard Entertainment Asia Pacific, and has previously held senior roles at Microsoft, Vivendi and Activision.

“Mr Warburton brings a new depth of experience to the team,” Samsung Australia vice president of consumer electronics Carl Rose stated. “Mark’s appointment comes at a time as we strive to build the best team with talent from within Samsung as well as externally.”

Additionally, from September 1, Damien Krotofil and Leigh Irons will take on the role of channel manager AV for NSW and Victoria, respectively.

Krotofil, who has been at Samsung for more than eight years, has been promoted from his current role as national account manager AV, servicing JB Hi-Fi, with Irons, who has been with Samsung for more than 10 years, promoted from his current role as national account manager AV, servicing The Good Guys.
