Logitech has introduced a new wireless mouse that can change shape, allowing users to switch between a slim, portable design and a raised, more ergonomic form for greater comfort.

Called the Pebble Up, the new mouse builds on the Pebble Mouse 2 M350s, released in 2023, with an adjustable upper shell that can be lifted to provide additional hand support during longer working sessions.

When not in use, the mouse can be flattened, making it easier to slip into a laptop bag or backpack.

Despite its transforming design, the Pebble Up remains lightweight at just 79g, only 3g heavier than its predecessor. It measures 105.8 x 59.6 x 30mm.

The mouse features an optical sensor with a 4,200 CPI resolution and adjustable sensitivity ranging from 400 to 4,000 DPI.

There are four buttons, including the standard left and right clicks, a scroll wheel button and a dedicated DPI button. Users can customise the latter two through Logitech’s Logi Options+ software, which also supports gesture controls.

The scroll wheel uses a traditional stepped mechanism rather than the free-spinning system found on some of Logitech’s premium mice.

Logitech has also replaced the AA battery used in the Pebble Mouse 2 M350s with a built-in 290mAh rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 90 days of use on a single charge.

Wireless connectivity is handled through Bluetooth Low Energy or a Logi Bolt USB receiver, with a range of up to 10 metres.

The Pebble Up can be paired with up to three devices simultaneously, allowing users to switch between a laptop, desktop or tablet using Logitech’s Easy-Switch technology.

Logitech is also incorporating AI-related features through its Logi Options+ software, which is available on Windows and macOS. The application allows users to customise supported buttons and access additional productivity functions.

The mouse is also compatible with iPadOS, Linux, ChromeOS and Android, although these operating systems do not support the same software-based customisation features.

The Pebble Up comes in three finishes: Rose Pink, Graphite Gray and Pearl White.

Sustainability is another focus, with Logitech using certified post-consumer recycled plastic in all three models. The Rose Pink and Pearl White versions contain 43 per cent recycled plastic, while the Graphite Gray model increases that figure to 56 per cent.

Logitech is including a one-year limited hardware warranty with the Pebble Up.

Australian pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
