Logitech G is expanding its gaming keyboard lineup with the G512 X, a modular analog/mechanical model designed for players who want to tune their hardware as closely as they tune their in-game loadouts.

Available in 75 and 98 layouts, the G512 X introduces 39 hybrid TMR switch beds, allowing gamers to swap between analog and mechanical switches across the main gaming zones.

Logitech says the board ships with nine Gateron KS-20 analog switches, along with SAPP rings, keycap pullers and onboard storage built into the rear of the keyboard.

Speaking to media, Gabriel Whyel, Head of Marketing at Logitech, said the G512 X was built for a new type of keyboard buyer.

“We really built this for the player who wants bold, iconic gear that allows them to customise and fine tune,” Whyel said.

He said Logitech G had seen gaming keyboards evolve from static peripherals into highly personal performance systems, driven by players who now expect more control over feel, input depth, lighting and layout.

“We don’t want players to have to mould their play style to the keyboard,” Whyel said. “It’s the other way around.”

The G512 X uses Tunnel Magneto Resistance (TMR) sensor technology, which enables analog-style control by measuring the depth of a keypress. That allows players to assign actions at different actuation points, such as walking and running on the same key, or triggering rapid inputs for shooters, RPGs and competitive games.

Whyel described the keyboard as Logitech G’s “most versatile keyboard” to date, adding: “It’s almost like you’ve got a million different keyboards in one.”

The keyboard also features True 8K performance, dual programmable dials, a bold RGB lightbar with 33 lighting zones and compatibility with Logitech’s G HUB software. An optional acrylic palm rest can be purchased separately, designed to catch the lightbar illumination.

Logitech G is positioning the G512 X as part of its broader G5 Series ecosystem, alongside the G502 X Plus mouse and G522 headset.

“The G512 X is our love letter to the gamers who mod their gear as much as they mod their games,” said SM Lahti, Global Product Marketing Manager at Logitech G. “It’s a design that pushes the entire industry forward, fundamentally changing the way gamers can interact with their gear and play their favourite titles.”

The Logitech G512 X is available in black or white from A$299.95 for the 75 layout and A$339.95 for the 98 layout.
