Stephen Miller, the executive chairman of CEDIA’s Asia Pacific body, has announced his resignation. Miller claims in a statement he is parting from the association after achieving his goals.

“I have now achieved what I have set out to achieve,” began Miller. “I’m leaving CEDIA on such a high note after over eight years having delivered my key objectives to grow membership, help with the alignment of CEDIA internationally, develop CEDIA in China and bring the industry together, as we’ve done with the Integrate partnership.”

Clare Ward will assume the role of CEDIA executive director, Asia Pacific, as of tomorrow, the 1st of March.

“Stephen and Clare have worked alongside each other with CEDIA’s Global Alignment in the past year to create a strong business plan to ensure the sustainable future of CEDIA Asia Pacific,” commented CEDIA chairman Len Wallis.

Len added “I am confident that the entire membership will join me in thanking Stephen for what he has achieved during his time as Executive Director. Through sheer dedication and hard work Stephen has developed CEDIA Asia Pacific from a few passionate members with limited access to services, into a dynamic well developed member association”.

Two days ago it was announced CEDIA’s exhibition show would be merged with Integrate’s with the first combined CEDIA/Integrate show taking place August 2013 in Sydney.
