KitchenAid Issues Recall For Its Electric Kettle

Product recalls have been made for a KitchenAid 1.7L stainless steel electric kettle with variable temperature control after handles on a number of the models have been becoming loose or separate from the body.

The models were, 5KEK1722AAC, 5KEK1722AER, 5KEK1722AOB, 5KEK1722ACU and 5KEK1722ASX and the affected models have serial numbers beginning with YA342XXXXX through to YA724XXXXX.

Users of the product are asked to stop using the product and contact Whirlpool for a full refund of the product.
Stores that sold the defective product include, Myer, David Jones, Harvey Norman, Good Guys, Bing Lee, Winning Appliances, selected specialist homeware retailers and independent houseware stores
The kettle was sold between November 1 2013 and February 21 2018.
