Kaleidescape has picked up a major international design accolade, with its Strato E movie player and Mini Terra Prime server system winning a 2026 Red Dot Award for Product Design.

The Silicon Valley-based home cinema specialist said the win highlights its continued push into high-end entertainment systems that blend performance with industrial design.

“Kaleidescape is honoured to receive a 2026 Red Dot Award… this affirms our relentless focus on innovation, engineering excellence, and thoughtful design,” said chairman and CEO Tayloe Stansbury.

The winning system pairs the Strato E, a high-fidelity 4K movie player supporting lossless multichannel and object-based audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, with the Mini Terra Prime – a solid-state server designed for fast access, low noise and scalable storage across whole-home setups.

Both devices feature minimalist steel enclosures with perforated designs aimed at improving passive cooling while showcasing internal components.

Kaleidescape’s ecosystem centres on its proprietary movie store, which it claims is the only platform delivering full reference-quality video alongside lossless audio downloads.

The Red Dot Awards, established in 1955, are among the world’s top design competitions, recognising products for innovation, functionality and design. Entries are judged by an international panel across criteria including innovation, usability and sustainability.

Kaleidescape’s products will be showcased in the Red Dot Design Yearbook and exhibited at the Red Dot Design Museum in Germany.
