NSW police have arrested four teenagers in relation to robberies at electronics stores in north-west Sydney last month.
It follows the arrest of five teenagers in relation to a number of “blitz-style” shoplifting raids on JB Hi-Fi, Bing Lee and Harvey Norman stores over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
Strike Force Arpen was established to investigate and this morning police arrested four 16-year-old boys after executing search warrants at two locations in Guildford West, one at Northmead and one at St Marys.
One of the boys from Guildford West has been charged with three larceny offences, a stealing offence, affray and participate in criminal group after stolen property was found, while the other was charged with five stealing offences and participate in criminal group.
Both boys were scheduled to face Parramatta Children’s Court today.
More allegedly stolen property was found at St Marys, and a boy arrested there has been charged with six larceny offences, affray, goods in custody, and participate in criminal group.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Children’s Court next month.
The boy arrested at Northmead has been dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
