Nokia To Launch 6″ Phablet ..Same Day As iPad?
Dubbed the Lumia 1520, Nokia’s phablet, pictured, is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, a 20.7-megapixel camera with Zeiss optics, 32GB or 64GB storage, a microSD card slot and 4G LTE connections.
It will be available in four colours: black, white, red and yellow, going on sale in the US from November 2 and across the world, including Australia, in December. Microsoft meanwhile has announced Windows Phone 8 Update 3, a revision of the company’s mobile OS which supports – to no-one’s great surprise – 5- and 6-inch screens.
The update “is enabling a new category of hardware for us, which is the phablet,” said Windows Phone product manager Greg Sullivan, without confirming the Nokia release.
