German appliance manufacturer Miele is taking kitchen technology to a new level with the launch of its “M Sense” intelligent cookware and a compact steam cooking drawer, both designed to simplify cooking while delivering professional results.

M Sense Cookware: Pots and Pans That Think
Miele claims its new M Sense cookware ensures “nothing burns, nothing boils over,” effectively ending the era of overcooked or burnt meals. The cookware integrates touch controls and up to three temperature sensors, and when paired with the company’s KM 8000 generation induction cooktops, it allows precise regulation of cooking power.

The system uses multi-patented technology to automatically adjust heat, creating a seamless communication loop between cookware and cooktop. Controls are built directly into the pots and pans, enabling users to monitor and adjust cooking effortlessly.

“M Sense is our promise for more cooking pleasure in the kitchen. No overcooking, no burning – instead, more time for what matters. With intelligent sensors and intuitive operation, we’re making cooking easier, safer, and smarter,” said Dr. Markus Miele, Managing Partner at Miele.

Steam Cooking Drawer: Baking, Warming, and Steaming in One
Miele also presented a world premiere at IFA with its new steam cooking drawer, a compact 14-centimeter-high appliance designed to expand cooking possibilities while saving space. Its minimalist design fits urban kitchens and open-plan layouts, and when combined with a combi microwave oven, it forms a unique 3-in-1 solution for baking, reheating, and steaming.

Equipped with DualSteam technology and over 100 automatic programs, the drawer can handle everything from vegetables and sous vide to everyday reheating and defrosting tasks. It has sufficient capacity to serve up to four people, and features such as one-touch lid opening and Miele app integration make operation simple and convenient.

“The new steam cooking drawer responds to the growing demand for multifunctional solutions in kitchens with limited space,” said Dr. Reinhard Zinkann, Executive Director and Co-Proprietor at Miele. “Combined with a compact oven, it enables the preparation of entire meals in two separate cooking compartments, all with Miele quality.”
