Huawei Announces New Budget Smartphone

Huawei has announced its latest model for its budget smartphone range, the ‘Honor 7X’.

Changes made from last year’s 6X model include a 18:9 display ratio, minimised bezels and a slightly 5.93″ longer screen (around half an inch longer than the Honor 6X).

Specs for the Honor 7X are:

  • Kirin 659 chipset
  • 4GB of RAM
  • Up to 128GB of expandable storage
  • 3340mAh battery
  • Android Nougat with a custom skin
  • Micro USB
  • Dual 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear-facing camera system for taking portraits; 8-megapixel front-facing camera

The phone is available in three colours: blue, gold, and black.

At this time, the Honor 7X is only on sale in China on October 17th for between 1,300-2,000 yuan (AUD$233-300). But general consensus is that the Honor 7X will hit the US market in the near future.
