Hisense Launches First Dual Cell TV In Aus

Hisense is bringing its proprietary Dual Cell TV display technology to Australia with its 65SX model, set to launch next month.

First exhibited at CES in Las Vegas this year, Dual Cell includes an extra monochrome LCD layer precision-bonded behind the colour layer, blocking light from pixels that need to be darker. The 65SX also includes Hisense’s Hi-View Engine, Depth Enhancer, and AI 4K upscaling engine.

According to Andre Iannuzzi, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia, the 65SX’s Dual Cell technology sets a “new standard” in LED TVs for brightness, accuracy, colour, and contrast.

“Australians have a strong appreciation for technologies that can elevate their lifestyle, especially in the current climate with many of us spending increased time in the home.

“With this in mind, it brings us great pleasure to offer Australians an exciting product that pushes the boundaries of television technology and raises the bar of what they can expect from an LED TV at home,” he said.

The TV also features Dolby Vision HDR technology and Dolby Atmos audio, plus a 4.1-inch subwoofer built into the stand. It will employ Hisense’s VIDAA smart TV operating system.

The Hisense 65SX will be available in Australia from mid-September at a RRP of $3499.
