Harvey Norman Inks Deal For Commercial IoT Products

Retail giant, Harvey Norman, has signed an agreement with Perth-based Quantify Technology to sell and promote its lineup of IoT (Internet of Things) products.

The West Australian company states it has the potential to reap up to $30 million in annual sales, by the fifth year under the agreement.

The deal – made with Harvey Norman Commercial Division – will see Quantify’s products sold into various commercial and residential projects across NSW and ACT.

Harvey Norman Commercial Division NSW/ACT is said to be the single largest Harvey Norman franchise, and provides a wide range of brand-name products to builders, developers, architects and designers. The division has a projected turnover for this financial year of $300m, with an annual growth rate in excess of 10%.

The agreement will see Harvey Norman promoting Quantify’s patented flagship item, the ‘Q device’, which is said to provide real-time evaluation of environmental/risk factors for building occupants, in a bid to create ‘intelligent buildings’ and efficiently manage services and utilities.

Quantify Tech will set up a demo facility at Harvey Norman Commercial Division’s NSW showroom, where it will provide training and engineering support to the company’s personnel.
