Google appears to be preparing a new paid health service, with listings for Google Health Premium surfacing in the Fitbit app and on the company’s official online store ahead of any formal announcement.

The subscription is priced at about A$15.30 per month or A$153 per year, and is widely expected to launch in tandem with upcoming devices such as the Pixel Watch 4 and the anticipated Fitbit Air.

Its presence across multiple platforms, including the Google Play Store and product pages for the next Pixel Watch, suggests that a release could be close. Reports have also indicated that the service is already visible within the Fitbit app, complete with both pricing tiers, despite the absence of an official reveal.

With an annual cost of A$153, the new offering is roughly A$30 higher than the current Fitbit Premium plan. It remains uncertain whether this new tier will replace the existing subscription or sit above it as an upgraded option.

A central feature of the service is the Fitbit Personal Health Coach, an AI-powered system designed to build customised training routines and respond to fitness questions in a conversational way, aiming to replicate the experience of working with a personal trainer.

The branding leans heavily on Google’s identity, featuring a heart-shaped icon in its recognisable multi-colour gradient. This approach indicates the service is intended to be part of a broader Google ecosystem rather than a standalone Fitbit product, potentially acting as a unified health layer across its wearable devices.

The Fitbit Air itself has yet to be officially introduced, though leaks suggest it will be a compact fitness tracker without a display, priced at around A$150. It is expected to depend on a connected smartphone for viewing data, placing greater emphasis on subscription-driven features as part of its overall appeal.

Google has not confirmed when either the subscription or the new device will be unveiled, but the fact that the service is already appearing across several of its digital storefronts points to an announcement likely in the near future.
